About Me:
I am currently 33 and living in Laguna Vista, Texas. I love my wife Vicki, my dog Maggie Mae and those three cats or Vicki's Ark as I like to call it. Any Day there is a bump in the water you will find me surfing!

I am currently the Volunteer Coordinator for Surfrider Foundation South Texas.

In 2005, my inner activist was awakened by the issuing of the Isla Blanca Park Lease to the Laguna Madre Enhancement Group by Cameron County. I found myself being a founding member of the South Texas Chapter of Surfrider Foundation and one of the founders of Friends of Isla Blanca. The issues that have always mattered to me such as protecting our surfing and fishing resources, the public right to unrestricted beach access, public lands not being turned over to private development and the corrupted system that is the "good ol' boy" government in the Rio Grande Valley stood up, slapped me in the face and said, "Get off Your Ass!"

So here I am, trying to do my best to fairly and logically effect change in the RGV in order to help to conserve and in, in some cases, preserve our coastal resources by promoting proactive coastal management practices, defending the Open Beaches Act, and educate people on the importance of those resources.

Since Dr. Kerry Black, then with the University of Waikato and now managing director of ASR,Ltd., participated in the development of the first constructed artifi… Continue
